There is a sweet little ski resort in Davis,WV called Timberline. Back in 1995, the last time I rode there, the snowboard park had a narrow gate at the bottom of the main Blue slope, which you had to negotiate at speed to have enough velocity to make air, etc in the board park. Very effective at ensuring
only a moderate and up skill level could use the park. In blacksmithing the gates are self imposed. Here is today's gate, a rivet backing block I had to make for a one off project need. It also is used in the post leg vise.
